Clark St. Dog introduces the B.Y.O.D. contest winner, “Mac Daddy”

Celebrate National Hot Dog month this July with the “Mac Daddy” or another one of Clark St. Dog’s famous Vienna Beef hot dogs. In honor of National Hot Dog Month, Clark St Dog hosted its first ever Build Your Own Dog contest throughout the month of June. Guests and hot dog fans were invited to get creative with their hot dog toppings by creating their own hot dog combination to be featured on Clark St. Dog’s menu. This July Clark St. Dog will be featuring the winning hot dog, “Mac Daddy” on its menu for guests to enjoy! The “Mac Daddy” starts with a Vienna Beef hot dog smothered in homemade mac n cheese. The “Mac Daddy” can be purchased throughout the month of July for $4.29.

Celebrate National Burger month this May with a “Red Hot” or another one of Clark St. Dog’s delicious burgers including a Gyros burger or a double cheese burger with a fried egg and bacon. In honor of National Burger Month, Clark St Dog is introducing the “Red Hot” burger. Taking two American classics and combing them into one mouth-watering burger. The Red Hot burger features 1/4lb fresh seasoned burger, Vienna Natural Casing hot dog open faced and grilled, topped with ketchup, mustard, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and krinkle kut pickles all on a grilled bun. This burger can be purchased throughout the month of May for $5.99 or $6.55 w/cheese.

Chicago q’s Pulled Pork Sandwiches feature Chef/Partner Lee Ann Whippen’s house-smoked pork shoulder on a fresh pretzel roll. Each will come with guests’ choice of sauce including the Original Mild (a tomato-based sauce that is both rich and sweet), the Spicy Sauce (a tomato-based Virginia state champion sauce that is bold in flavor with light spice), South Carolina Mustard Sauce (a tangy and sweet sauce with a little heat), and Eastern North Carolina Vinegar (a classic Southern vinegar sauce with a kick). Bottled beverages will be available for $3.

Additionally, Chicago q will offer a Corned Beef special during lunch and dinner Friday, March 14 through Monday, March 17. Whippen’s Kobe corned beef is served with Napa cabbage, fingerling potatoes and baby carrots. It is available for $17 during lunch and $22 during dinner.

Guests are invited to celebrate National Pickle Day on Thursday, November 14 at Clark Street Dog and Bar. The restaurant, Chicago’s only hot dog stand with a bar, will serve their signature Pickle-Back Shot for $5.

“Our Pickle-Back Shot was created years ago as a result of a creative conversation over what to do with our leftover pickle juice,” says Owner Angelo Velotis. “People are always coming in and questioning it, but I tell them if they like pickles, they should try it.”

CLARK ST. DOG LAUNCHES INDUSTRY DISCOUNT PROGRAM

Clark Street Dog is pleased to announce the launch of their Industry Discount Program. This program will offer a 20% discount to service industry employees off of their drink bill every Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday after 9pm, and all day on Mondays. The service industry will include those who work at restaurants, bars, hotels, salons, spas and gyms throughout Chicago.

To celebrate the program, there will be an official launch party on Monday, October 21. Industry members re invited to enjoy complimentary Goose Island beer and the restaurant’s signature Pickleback Shots from 9 p.m. to close. In addition, as always, the kitchen will be open late. At this event, service industry employees can present proof of employment to receive their Industry card.

A family owned and operated Chicago staple, Clark St. Dog has been offering delicious food, cold drinks and warm hospitality to their patrons for more than 37 years. With the launch of this program, Clark Street Dog hopes to share these same phenomenal offerings with their extended service industry family.
