Durty Nellie’s in Palatine along with Kickstand Productions will present the infamous and epic theater of shock-rockers GWAR on Wednesday, June 2 at 8:00 PM for a 21+ event. Interviews and hi-res photos available upon request.
Formed in Richmond, VA in the mid-eighties, GWAR (Metal Blade Records) is a Grammy-nominated act with an expansive cult following. Best known for their elaborate nightmarish costumes, raunchy lyrics and graphic stage performances, GWAR’s live shows consist of political and taboo humor, crowd participation and even a “cannon of blood”. Another trademark of GWAR’s concerts is their lampooning of celebrities and current event figures. Targets of GWAR’s humor have included Osama Bin Laden, Michael Jackson, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Paris Hilton and many others. Their music ranges from 80’s punk-rock to theatrical metal and their most recently released album is 2009′s Lust In Space.
Opening acts at Durty Nellie’s will include: Dirge Within (E1 Entertainment) and Mobile Deathcamp (Indica/RCA). Dirge Within hail from Chicago and have been performing their own unique form of death-grindcore since their start in 2007. Having scored opening slots for the likes of Type O Negative, God Forbid and Dope, they signed to E1 Entertainment (formerly Koch Records) in May 2009. Mobile Deathcamp is fronted by former GWAR member Beefcake the Mighty (Todd Evans) and although unsigned, they’ve shared the stage with major acts like Marilyn Manson, Slayer and Cannibal Corpse.

Pinstripes Outdoor Patios
Pinstripes invites guests to enjoy their expansive outdoor patios at both the Northbrook and South Barrington locations. With seating up to 150 guests, the patios serve the full Pinstripes Bistro menu and offer live music on Thursday – Saturday nights. In spring and summer months, guests can challenge an opponent to a game of bocce on one of the outdoor courts adjacent to the dining patio. PHOTOS AVAILABLE.

Durty Nellie’s welcomes legendary, musical virtuoso Tim Reynolds and TR3 with guest Van Ghost to the stage on Friday, April 16. Doors open at 8:00 PM, and the show will start at 9:30 PM with a cover charge of $15.00. Guests will enjoy a mix of covers, updated Tim Reynolds hits and some of his newest material.
Tim Reynolds is the founding member of TR3 and has often toured with Dave Matthews as an acoustic duo, in addition to performing as a member of Dave Matthews & Friends. Reynolds has received much praise for his command of melody and timing, and his uncanny ability to improvise on all of his instruments. Reynolds entertains with his mastery of progressive rock, straight-up jazz, and high-powered funk fusion with guitar, bass, piano, sitar, mandolin, violin, and a plethora of ethnic percussion instruments.
