Gibsons & Hugo’s Live Music for the Holidays

This holiday season, Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont, Oak Brook and Chicago, and Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish Houses in Chicago and Naperville take their classic dining scenes to the next level with a full schedule of live music.  Every evening (hours vary, see below), guests will enjoy different styles of live music to complete their evening and make for a festive, holiday dining experience.  Admission is free (see full schedule below).

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook invites guests to enjoy their live music with drink specials on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Van Gogh Martinis are $7 every Wednesday, and Thursdays is Ladies’ Night Out featuring Pinnacle Martinis for only $6.

Additionally, guests can come for the steak and stay for the music as longtime Chicagoland favorite, Lenny Capp, entertains as the resident musician at Gibsons in Rosemont Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM through December.

Gibsons Sommelier Wine Dinner

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in downtown Chicago announces the next installment of their 2011 Sommelier Dinner Series with an exclusive Master Sommelier dinner hosted by Master Sommerliers Fred Dame, Serafin Alverado, and Geoff Kruth.  The dinner features Library Wines from the Guild of Sommeliers’ cellar and courses prepared by Executive Chef Daniel Huebschmann on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 6:30 PM.

Proceeds from this exclusive event will benefit Misericordia Heart of Mercy and the more than six-hundred children and adults with developmental disabilities supported by their programs.

The five-course event begins with passed appetizers created by Daniel Huebschmann, features Gibsons USDA Certified Prime Angus Porterhouse, and ends with a sweet Lemon Mousse dessert. Complete menu is below.

Silver Oak Cellars has crafted extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon for over 35 years in the Alexander Valley and Napa Valley in California. Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent more than 30 years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Bordeaux varietal wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today.

The six-course event begins with passed appetizers created by Daniel Huebschmann paired with 2010 Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc. Five courses will follow, including

About Judi Britt

In her accomplished 30-year wine industry career, Judi Britt has touched all aspects of the business, including distributor sales, supplier representation, retail sales and restaurant management. She is currently the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Duckhorn Wine Company and their world-class portfolio of luxury wine brands including Duckhorn, Goldeneye, Paraduxx, Decoy and Migration.  While Britt brings a wealth of sales and trade marketing experience from some of the industry’s blue chip companies, including Beam, Constellation and Allied Domecq, she is also an accomplished wine educator and wine consultant .  Ms. Britt graduated with honors from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her degree in Agriculture.

Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in Naperville invites guests to enjoy live music al fresco on their new patio.  Hugo’s is the only destination in Naperville to offer an outdoor patio complete with food, drinks and live entertainment from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM every Wednesday through Saturday.  Guests can also enjoy specials like Grey Goose Thursdays with $7 Grey Goose Mixed Drinks, $7 Dragon Berry Lemonade and $9 Grey Goose Martinis.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse Celebrates National Filet Mignon Day

In honor of National Filet Mignon Day on Saturday, August 13, Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Oak Brook celebrates with their Filet Mignon Sampler entrée.  The suburban location offers diners a chance to taste four of their famous prime filet mignon preparations in one decadent entrée, available during lunch service.  Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse is the only restaurant in the country to have their own USDA certification; all Gibsons’ locations serve USDA Process Verified Gibsons Prime Angus Beef. More information about this certification available upon request.

For only $25, steak lovers in Oak Brook will enjoy four 2 oz. prime filet mignon medallions prepared in four different signature Gibsons ways: with Blue Cheese, Horseradish Encrusted, Peppercorn and Oscar (topped with asparagus, crab and béarnaise sauce).

Guests at all three Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse locations, in downtown Chicago, Rosemont and Oak Brook, can also enjoy Gibsons’ USDA Prime Angus Beef in four different varieties of filet mignon: a 7 oz. Petite Filet, a 10 oz. Filet Mignon, a 14 oz. Filet Mignon and a decadent 16 oz. Bone-in Filet Mignon.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse proudly serves Gibsons’ USDA Prime Angus Beef from nearby PM Beef in Windom, Minnesota.  PM Beef utilizes several breeders in a 100 – 150 mile radius, including beef from local eco-friendly ranches.

This July, Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont, Oak Brook and on Rush Street, and Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish Houses on Rush Street and in Naperville take their classic dining scenes to the next level with a full schedule of live music. Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in Naperville invites guests to enjoy live music al fresco on their new patio. Hugo’s is the only destination in Naperville to offer an outdoor patio complete with food, drinks and live entertainment from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM every Wednesday through Saturday. Guests can also enjoy specials like Grey Goose Thursdays with $7 Grey Goose Mixed Drinks, $7 Dragon Berry Lemonade and $9 Grey Goose Martinis.

Additionally, guests can come for the steak and stay for the music as longtime Chicagoland favorite, Lenny Capp, entertains as the resident musician at Gibsons in Rosemont Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM throughout July.

Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse in Rosemont invites guests to indulge in a daily offering of complimentary signature appetizers every Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.  Complimentary appetizers created by Chef Marco DiBenedetto include Gibsons Filet Sliders, Barbequed Shrimp, House-made Pigs in a Blanket and more.  Following the free appetizer buffet, guests can stay for the music as longtime Chicagoland favorite, Lenny Capp, entertains as the resident musician at Gibsons in Rosemont Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM.  

Featured musician this May is keyboardist, singer and songwriter Desiree Irwin.  She will take the stage every Thursday from 9:00 PM – 1:00 AM at Gibsons in Oak Brook and every Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Hugo’s in Naperville.
