Fourth of July Weekend Events at Drop

Wednesday, July 3 – Sunday, July 7

This Independence Day, Drop will host events on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening and offer Freedom Shots–a red, white and blue layered vodka shot topped with whipped Cream, for $2.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 3, the lounge will host wine night. The event will be from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and feature complimentary cheese plates from well-known Chicago chefs paired with tastings from the bar’s portfolio of wine. A charitable donation to PAWS Chicago is suggested for attendance.

In celebration of the holiday on Thursday, July 4, Chicagoans are invited to RetroPop night. DJ Dominic David will be spinning top 40’s hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. The lounge will also offer $6 Red Bull bomb shots all day. Friday night will be hosted by DJ XL starting at 10 p.m. and Saturday, Jeffrey Taylor will headline beginning at midnight.

On Sunday, July 5, Drop invites guests to a post-beach after party where they will enjoy beats from resident DJ Poison Jam Sam. All Sailor Jerry Cocktails will be $4. Additionally, members of the service industry are invited to enjoy 50 percent off on select beverages. LUXBAR UNVEILS NEW FARM TO TABLE MENU

LUXBAR announces the start of their new farm to table menu. Using locally sourced products from over 10 farms, LUXBAR has created new dinner specials, available now. LUXBAR is proud to source locally from Bourbon Barrel Foods (Louisville, KY), Burton Maple Syrup (Medora, IN), Dunbarton Farm (Shullsburg, WI), La Clare Farm (Chilton, WI), Mick Klug Farm (St. Joseph, MI), Miller’s Farm (Orland, IN), Mustard Girl (Chicago, IL), Nichols Farm (Merengo, IL), and more.

Highlights on the new menu include Skuna Bay Salmon, Buttermilk Fried Half Amish Chicken, Lake Superior Whitefish, Heirloom Tomato Salad and Heirloom Tomato Burger. LUXBAR will feature several handcrafted cocktails with local ingredients like the Life’s a Peach (Square One Botanical, Mick Klug Farm Michigan Peach Syrup, Sauvignon Blanc).
