MACKU SIGNATURE LAUNCHES HAPPY HOUR MENU

Macku Signature on Halsted is excited to announce their weekday Happy Hour menu. Happy Hour will run from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. every Monday-Thursday and guests will be treated to a selection of Chef Macku Chan’s delicious sushi and a wide variety of signature cocktails and sake.The modified Happy Hour menu highlights customer favorites from the regular menu, all available for under $10 during Happy Hour.

Five different types of Chan’s signature nigiri with toppings are offered for between $2 and $3 and two types of his signature sashimi are offered for $10, regularly available for $15.

Maki rolls such as the Salmon Spider Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and Spicy Spider Roll, regularly priced at $8, are available for $5.

Diner’s can indulge their sweet tooth as well, three desserts, including Chef Chan’s special asparagus pudding, are offered for $6 and under. Full Happy Hour menu available upon request. 

Chef Chan’s newest concept, located at 2925 N. Halsted, features not only a full sushi bar but a sake bar as well. Noticing a lack of sake bars in Chicago, Chef and owner Macku Chan looked to fill the void. “We offer a large selection of premium sake and a sushi menu that pairs perfectly.” Said Chan “We are also developing a sake tasting class that will educate people about the proper way to pair sushi and sake.”

The sake bar at Macku Signature features an extensive sake list that includes the 4 types of sake: Junmai-shu, Honjozo-shu, Ginjo-shu and Daiginjo-shu as well as a selection of Namazake or unpasteurized sake. The bar also includes a large wine list with options by the glass and by the bottle and a variety of signature cocktails including the Lychee Blossom with Belaya Rus Vodka and Fentimans Rose Lemonade and the Heavy Time Old Fashioned with Jujube infused Traverse City Bourbon, Black Walnut and Aromatic bitters.

Macku Signature also offers a variety of weekday specials including specialty maki rolls on Mondays; a $45 season prix fixe menu on Tuesdays and $3 off premium sake flights on Thursdays. Additionally, every Wednesday evening guests will enjoy live jazz with the Elaine Dame duo from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

This Valentine’s Day, Brasserie by LM invites guests to celebrate with a special menu. The three-course prix fixe menu will be $35 per person. With wine pairings, the menu will be $55 per person. Highlights include a Butter Squash Veloute with brioche and creme fraiche or Duck Confit Lyonnaise Salad with frisee and farmed poached egg to start, Braised 5 Hours Short Rib Bordelaise with potato puree, rapini, and cote du Rhone reduction or Pan Roasted Lake Trout with local glazed carrots and a ginger mussel emulsion. As a sweet finish, guests can choose between  Flourless Chocolate Cake or Homemade Profiteroles to share.

In addition, Brasserie by LM will allow guests to pre-order flowers to their table when they book their reservations. The restaurant will provide packaging to bring the flowers home. Options include:.

Macku Sushi and Macku Signature announce catering and private dining options for holiday parties this season. The restaurant concept is known for its unique take on sushi with toppings developed by Chef Macku Chan.

Macku Catering features multiple packages that can accommodate a range of party sizes from intimate gatherings and cocktail receptions to large parties for several hundred guests.
